Duravant Presents Food Processing and Packaging Equipment at Expo Pack Mexico 2026

May 7, 2026 – Duravant operating companies Key Technology, Mespack, nVenia, PATTYN, PPM Technologies and Wulftec are showcasing a range of processing and packaging solutions for food, personal and home care, pharmaceuticals and more at Expo Pack Mexico booth 2520. Designed for companies managing rising product quality expectations, labor constraints and production demands, these systems address challenges throughout the production line, from optical sorting and seasoning to bag closing, case erection and stretch wrapping.

“Across Latin America, processors and packers are at a turning point. Labor is becoming harder to find and train, while at the same time quality requirements continue to rise. For many companies, changing from manual processes to fully- or semi-automated is intimidating but necessary,” said Oscar Ortega, Managing Director at Duravant Mexico. “We work closely with customers to help them make that transition. We walk their factory floor, listen to understand their specific problems and deliver a solution that makes sense for them – with the right level of technology, a clear return on investment and local support in their own language, time zone and currency.”

On exhibit at the show will be Key Technology’s COMPASS® optical sorter for processors of fruits, vegetables, snacks and more who need reliable defect and foreign material removal without adding cost or complexity to line operations. Combining multi-channel sensor data and multi-wavelength strobing, COMPASS can deliver detection capabilities comparable to laser-based sorters but without mechanical scanning components, which simplifies day-to-day configuration, lowers long-term operating costs and offers a strong return on investment. Recipe-driven operation, simplified controls and an open sanitary design help processors sustain consistent inspection performance while reducing training requirements, cleaning time and maintenance across long production runs.

PPM Technologies will present its FlavorWright SmartSpray™ coating system for processors of gummies, vitamins, supplements and other confectionery goods where manual or batch coating is producing inconsistent results, driving up waste and tying up labor. SmartSpray automates the full coating process, feeding product into a tumbling drum via belt conveyor while an adjustable liquid applicator delivers controlled spray patterns for uniform coverage without oversaturation. Recipe-driven operation enables quick, repeatable changeovers, and interchangeable drum sizes in plastic and stainless-steel construction allow the system to adapt as product lines evolve.

nVenia will exhibit two Fischbein bag closing solutions for producers experiencing bag jams, inconsistent seals or manual handling issues that disrupting packaging line throughput. The Fischbein 400 NS plain sew system closes pillow-style and gusseted bags including multi-wall paper and woven polypropylene, with an automated infeed that guides each bag through the sewing process without operator assistance and a self-lubricating design for low-maintenance operation. The Fischbein PBC 6000 pinch bag closer delivers sift-resistant seals on pinch-style paper bags, and its patented breakaway design prevents jams from escalating into extended downtime while allowing quick access for cleaning and service.

PATTYN will join the Duravant booth at Expo Pack for the first time since its 2025 acquisition, showcasing the CEFLEX-41, designed for facilities looking to simplify end-of-line packaging. By combining case erecting and bag inserting into a single machine, the CEFLEX-41 reduces footprint while maintaining performance, running at up to 12 cases per minute in either tape or hot-melt configuration. Custom-made bags produced from a film reel reduce material costs by up to 30 percent compared to premade bags, while patented smart film opening technology, requiring just six adjustments for format changes, keeps changeovers fast, consistent and repeatable across different case sizes.

Wulftec will display its SMART™ SMLPA-200, a portable automated stretch wrapper that delivers industrial-grade performance at an affordable price. Capable of wrapping up to 55 loads per hour, this compact system is equipped with productivity-enhancing features like a 20-inch NO-THREAD® powered pre-stretch carriage for quick, ergonomic film loading and a cut-and-wipe system that eliminates manual film attachment, both of which help reduce interruptions production flow. The SMLPA-200’s portable design and robust construction make it a versatile solution for facilities seeking reliable, cost-effective load containment automation.

Processors and packers can meet Duravant’s regional team and see these solutions in person at Expo Pack Mexico, taking place June 2-5, 2026, at Expo Santa Fe in Mexico City.
