El proyecto europeo EnzOx2, en el que participa AIMPLAS, investiga nuevas tecnologías que hagan posible obtener componentes químicos de alto valor añadido a partir de biomasa. Una de las aplicaciones de las sustancias obtenidas sería la fabricación de derivados del PEF, un sustituto sostenible del PET convencional.
