ACTEGA’s Growing ECOLEAF Partnerships Help Set a New Standard in Metal Finishes
Visitors were able to see live demonstrations of ECOLEAF, ACTEGA’s on-demand metallization technology, configured with a Gallus One digital press. The partnership established between ACTEGA and Gallus has recently been expanded to include ECOLEAF technology, as Dario Urbinati, CEO of the Gallus Group, explains: “Our collaboration with ACTEGA is based on the shared mission of fostering innovation across the industry and driving smart and connected printing. Signite® application technology debuted at Labelexpo
ACTEGA’s strong partnership with All4Labels extends to another product within the company’s STAR™ portfolio. Signite®, developed by ACTEGA, is a unique decoration technology that combines patented sustainable solutions and state-of-the-art application machinery. This transformative decoration solution for glass, PET and aluminum packaging made its debut at Labelexpo Europe this year and will be available exclusively through All4Labels in Europe, South and Central America under the STARDIRECT(TM) brand.
This innovation offers approximately 30% less global warming potential (GWP 100, kg CO2 eq.) than pressure-sensitive labels or shrink sleeves of similar size. This is due to the dramatic reduction in substrates required to create this high-quality “label-free look”, with no die-cutting required and therefore no label matrix to dispose of. In addition to the sustainable benefits, this ultra-thin, facestock-free decoration allows customers to produce more than 40% more Signite® labels per roll, reducing label shipping costs and changeover times.

Under the motto “From challenge to collaboration”, ACTEGA also showcased its innovative product portfolio of coatings for pressure-sensitive labels, shrink sleeves and in-mold labels. ACTEGA’s advanced coatings include gloss, matte, motion effects, and next-generation UV and LED coatings. With these products, ACTEGA enables printers and converters to achieve exceptional aesthetics, functionality and durability, while addressing key technical challenges such as scratch resistance, slip angle and adhesion. A wide selection of printed samples was available to view and take away.
Visitors also had the opportunity to see how ACTEGA coatings are applied to labels that were printed during the show. At the Gallus stand, ACTEGA coatings were presented in live production with their presses, as well as numerous impressive coating samples that visitors could study for inspiration. It promises to be a hands-on opportunity to see exactly how the combined expertise of these two companies can deliver exceptional end results.
