ECO SHEET UNDERLINES ENVIRONMENTAL CREDENTIALS

Publicado por el Lunes, 21 Diciembre 2009Comentar

RPC Cobelplast-Montonate has underlined its environmental credentials with the development of a new range of A-PET sheet for printing and box applications, manufactured using 50-70% post-consumer recycled (PCR) A-PET scrap. The site already stresses the importance of using eco-friendly materials, and ensures that all of its products can be easily recycled. The new ECO range goes one step further by utilising waste plastic that would otherwise go to landfill.

“The launch of our post-consumer recycled ECO range is a positive contribution to reduce the impact of packaging waste, ensuring better sustainability of A-pet by lengthening the life cycle of the material,” explains Patrizia De Rudi, Business Development at RPC Cobelplast-Montonate.

RPC Cobelplast-Montonate’s product expertise ensures that a high proportion of PCR content can be used while still enabling the sheet to be processed into strong, aesthetically pleasing packaging. Crucially, even when using basic PCR A-PET scraps, the site reports that the resulting sheet offers outstanding performance in printing, with very good UV ink adhesion.
